This course is intended for any person who aspires to become a professional dog trainer and for any dog trainer seeking an enhanced learning experience. It is also relevant for dedicated owners who wish to become connected with their dogs on a deeper level than they ever believed possible. Students will learn how to adopt a ‘dog’s eye view’ when working with dogs. In essence, you will learn how to be ‘more dog-like’ to earn a dog’s trust and respect to strengthen your bond and to shape desired behavior.

When a dog trusts you, he will learn from you. Without trust, learning will not happen. Students will experience hands-on work with a variety of dogs to learn how to influence/shape dog behavior. In the dog’s eyes, you will ‘become’  the leader in a pack. If you want to be a dog trainer, or if you need the credentials showing your accomplishments, you’ll find that completion of this program will demonstrate your ability to effectively work and communicate with dogs at a level that few dog owners/trainers/handlers understand or experience. Forty (40) Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are provided for those seeking credits to renew their IACP certification.
