-From Me, Prince, Jozee, and Pippy!
Hi there,
As the holiday season is in full swing, I want to take a moment to send warm wishes from my pack—Prince, Jozee, Pippy—and me to you and yours. This time of year is all about creating meaningful moments, and I hope you’re getting to enjoy it with your dog by your side.
At my house, the dogs are in their usual spots, enjoying the calm between all the holiday buzz. Whether they’re lounging by the fire or keeping an eye on the kitchen (ever hopeful), I can’t imagine the season without their presence.
Here are a few helpful tips to make the holidays as smooth as possible for you and your dog:
Keep Holiday Decor Safe
Even the most well-mannered dogs can get intrigued by shiny ornaments or dangling lights. Fragile items and tempting decorations like tinsel or edible garlands are best kept out of reach. Peace of mind is priceless.
Stick to Dog-Safe Foods
Holiday feasts are a big part of the season, but not everything on the menu is safe for dogs. Chocolate, fatty foods, and certain spices can be harmful. Offering your dog their own special, safe treats is a great way to include them in the celebrations.
Create a Calm Space
With all the excitement of the holidays, giving your dog a familiar, quiet spot to relax is important. Even in the busiest of homes, a retreat helps them feel secure and ensures everyone has a moment to recharge.
Prepare for Visitors
If you’re hosting, it’s worth planning ahead for the comings and goings of guests. Whether it’s managing the door or briefing visitors on how to greet your dog respectfully, a little preparation can go a long way.
Think Ahead for Loud Celebrations
If your area gets noisy with fireworks or parties, a bit of pre-planning can make a difference. Whether it’s white noise, calming music, or a snug wrap, having tools at the ready keeps the night stress-free for your dog.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue helping you and your dog thrive together. Whether it’s teaching new skills, refining existing ones, or tackling challenges, I’ll be here to guide and support you. My goal is always to help you enjoy the best possible relationship with your dog—one filled with trust, understanding, and joy.
From my family (Prince, Jozee, Pippy, and me) to yours, thank you for letting me be part of your journey this year. Wishing you a holiday season filled with happiness, and an incredible start to the New Year.
Warmly,
Karen
